Acronis has started migrating customer tenancies from EWS to Graph API, ahead of Microsoft retiring EWS in October 2026.

This is phase 1 of the migration, running from 05/06/2026 to 20/06/2026. Phase 2 is planned for late September 2026.

During the migration, Cloud-to-Cloud backups will fail - this is expected. Once a customer’s migration is complete, you’ll need to re-authenticate the Microsoft 365 connection in the Acronis portal. Backups will then resume.

Please note:

• The first backup after migration will be a new full backup
• Subsequent backups will continue as normal

There may be some additional invoicing due to a new backup chain being created. If you notice this, speak to your Account Manager or Partner Success team.
